The smallest of spaces

A beautiful abstract piece that is imbued with heavy symbolism and deeper meaning. Sue doesn't define the meaning but gives us clues as to the emotion behind the work. Working with both oils and watercolours, all of Sue's work has a boldness of colour and an abstract bent. It does, however, alude to human emotions and figurative forms which we can connect with. Exploring form and colour through abstraction we are left with powerful works to decode or simply enjoy for their juxtaposition of colours.

The process of non-representation is challenging and intellectually stimulating but enriched by the
confidence gained from abandonment and experimentation. Sue draws inspiration from a life-time of observation as a playful, inquisitive person – she seeks out the offbeat.

Sue is the winner of the 2012 Adelaide Fringe poster award.
Her work is held in collections nationally and internationally.
