Nearly all of the media stars growing up in the 60s, 70s and 80s were blonde and blue eyed. All were white.
Asians were portrayed as weak or criminal, usually with stereotypical buck teeth or thick glasses. If women were beautiful, it was in the fetishised 'Suzy Wong' manner. I hated the way I looked as a teenager. I wanted to be blonde, blue eyed and tall like the popular girls. In middle age, I'm reaping the benefits of good asian genes!
Some insects are strikingly beautiful. Many start off as ugly grubs. All have 6 legs, 2 eyes, antennae and chitin as exoskeletons.
