Marnie Ross graduated from the College of Fine Arts, UNSW, Sydney, 2009. Marnie’s vibrant works are crafted to reflect her focus on shape and form. Her layered painting technique and vivid colour palette are often offset against wood or Belgian linen canvases.
The impact of printmaking in 20th century art making has influenced the way that Marnie creates her colourful paintings. She experiments with print and painting methods by applying paint onto canvas, before wiping it off and leaving paint engrained in the canvas. These paintings are vivid, unique and slightly eclectic.
