Chinoiserie Nasturtiums (Immigrant)

We have run out of stock for this item.

I always think of nasturtiums  as the essential English cottage garden flowers.  They grew en mass down the side of the house in Auckland and lately I see them featured in so many glossy magazines featuring beautiful cold-climate homes.

I’ve arranged these in Peranakan ceramics.  The cabbage white, common blue and meadow butterflies are English but now found in Australia and NZ.

The Australianness can be seen in the little violin beetle at the bottom right of the image.
I am a recent immigrant to Australia.  I am a citizen of NZ, the UK and now have permanent resident status here. - Gabby Malpas
