Painting for me is very much an essential part of life, my world is very visual. There is nothing quite so magical and captivating as the simplicity of a paint stroke that conveys an ease of confidence. My work is a journey and often a journal. Paintings often have stories behind them and sometimes the keeper of secrets. My current work is about simple brush strokes, texture, the balance of contrast and the capture of light.
I started painting at a very young age and won my first competition, “the De Beers art award” at the age of 12. After immigrating to Australia I studied at Julian Ashtons. Various solo as well as mixed exhibitions over the years, including those held at Holdsworth Gallery, Ronald Coles Investment Gallery, Red Hill Gallery, Wash House Gallery, and Danks St Gallery. Represented in both private and commercial collections in Australia, New Zealand, South Africa and the USA.
